·         MA and doctorate in Psychology (PsyD), University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM)

TRAINING AND CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

I have been practicing individual psychotherapy since 2014. Moreover, since 2010, I have been working at CRIPHASE (The Resource and Intervention Centre for Men Abused Sexually in their Childhood) using a community approach that encourages empowerment over one’s own life.

My clinical training has given me a rich and varied experience in the field of mental health and psychological support. Through my professional experience, I have had the opportunity to work in different settings, including in the community, in public health sectors, at hospitals (Hôpital Notre-Dame in Montreal) and in private sectors, thus getting to know the different manifestations of human distress.

My approach

During my training, I focused on developing a professional style marked by an attitude of support and listening, as well as the ability of asking questions that promote the liberation of speech and the development of the self in all its richness and complexity. I believe in the power of free speech as an important vehicle for empowerment and healing.

In the procedure I propose, I help people who come for consultation to be more in touch with their own unique melody (their feelings, desires, anguish, inner conflicts, etc.) and, therefore, to be more at peace and in harmony with their choices and decisions.

My approach is essentially influenced by European and North American psychoanalytical and humanistic theories.

I am also inspired by art, and particularly by the minimalist approach to music, whose principle is to reduce noise to a minimum in order to allow each note to unfold fully to convey a melody that is unique and rich in its purity. Through multiple life experiences and its deafening noises, one loses one’s own melody and can no longer hear oneself. One cultivates masks and covers oneself with various carapaces, thus moving further and further away from oneself.

All the world is a stage,
And all the men and women merely players
— W. Shakespeare

Psychoanalysis helps to reveal the scriptwriter and to decipher the original script that governs our life, so that we can finally change it if we wish, or just claim ownership of it and keep playing it more joyfully
